Ádám Balogh was born in 1997 in Pécs, Hungary. At the age of twelve he won admission to the Liszt Academy of Music’s Exceptional Talents Department, where he was the pupil of Attila Némethy and Gábor Eckhardt.He is the award winner of multiple national competitions. He debuted in 2010, accompanied by the Budapest Festival Orchestra, conducted by Iván Fischer. Since then he has performed with the Berlin Konzerthaus orchestra, the Concerto Budapest, the National Philharmonic, the Pannon Philharmonic, the Óbuda Danubia Orchestra and the Liszt Ferenc Chamber Orchestra, among others. He has performed in concert halls across Europe, America, and Asia.
Ádám has won many international competitions. He is the winner of Austrian Jenő Takacs, the Chopin of Budapest, PianoTalents from Milan, Young Virtuoso from Zagreb, The Hague from The Hague, NYCA Worldwide Debut from New York, and the Tel Hai Concerto Competition in Israel. At the New York IKIF Festival he placed second, and at one of the most prestigious piano competitions held in Texas, in the category of Cliburn Junior he was the recipient of a special prize. He was the second prize winner of the 2019 Bartók World Competition. In 2019 and 2020 he obtained an Annie Fischer award. In 2021 he was given the Cziffra Festival’s Talent award.
