Le nuove musiche is a baroque ensemble founded in 2016, and is mainly devoted to the interpretation of early Italian baroque. ‘Le nuove musiche’ translates as ‘New music’, and in performances, which are often modern premieres, the musicians use originals or historical copies of baroque instruments.
The composition of the ensemble is entirely according to the requirements of the baroque composers it plays. The chitarrone, baroque guitar, arpa doppia, arcilute, viola da gamba and baroque violin are widely used. Le nuove musiche therefore brings the original colors and moods of the music of the beginning of the 17th century.
Le nuove musiche has performed many concerts at home andthroughout Europe. In 2017 Le nuove musiche performed at a festival in Poland and in 2018 toured in Germany and also Poland. The ensemble performs regularly in Slovakia.
