The Indian Summer in Levoča Festival (in Slovak: Levočské babie leto) is a leading annual musical celebration based in the historic east Slovakian town of Levoča, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Through the Festival, Levoča, the ancient capital of the county of Spiš, restores the region’s centuries-old tradition as a crossroads of arts and culture.
The Eleventh Festival maintains our tradition of bringing to audiences both great music and music unfairly neglected, played by leading musicians from across the continent. We can be certain that between them they will create an unforgettable musical experience in one of the most beautiful, historic and undiscovered corners of Europe.
Guest artists for 2020 include the Slovak Sinfonietta, the Vienna Kammersymphonie Quintet, Arata Yumi, Solomia Soroka and Jonathan Powell. See our programme for details.
