The V4 Quartet is an exciting and important music initiative created with the support of the Visegrad Fund, the international donor organization established in 2000 by the governments of the Visegrad Group countries—Czechia, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia—to promote regional cooperation in the Visegrad region (V4). The V4 Quartet concert in Levoča will mark their debut on the world concert stage. Its members, amongst the leaders of the new generation of Central European musicians, are from each of the Visegrad 4 countries: Miranda Liu (HU) – 1st violin; Daniel Rumler (SK) – 2nd violin; Tomáš Krejbich (CZ) – viola; and Bartosz Koziak (PL) – cello. Their repertoire for their initial concerts will be based on music by composers of the V4 countries, and their future concerts will include specially commissioned contemporary works. We are delighted to host their very first concert.
