Czech Philharmonic Quartet

cpq2The Czech Philharmonic Quartet (Štěpán Pražák - first violin, Viktor Mazacek - second violin, Jiří Poslední - viola and Jakub Dvořák - cello) was founded in 2000. The individual talents of each of the musicians and their extensive experience in chamber music both greatly contribute to their first-class musical interpretation of Czech music and Mozart.

The Czech Philharmonic Quartet regularly performs in chamber cycles of the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra and at festivals and chamber concert series around the Czech Republic and abroad (UK, Luxembourg, Germany, Japan). The quartet also took part in the Japanese Mozart Therapy project, where it recorded many of the famous composer’s chamber compositions. The Quartet retruns to Levoca after its very successful debut at the Festival in 2014.
